A lot going on at 2020 Hardy these past two weeks. Most dramatically the fence is complete and the ugly fence is down. We have a first view of the entire yard and the space is going to be amazing!
Lots of help with our project as well, Antonio Vergara and crew were on hand to help with the yard and final clean up of fence as well as the back rooms of the first floor. Zoe, our daughter, and her boyfriend Sam Garrison came down for the weekend to help as well.
The past two weeks brought us many visitors as well: Joe Meppelink & Marisa Janusz with two kids in tow, Avery and Reid, visiting from L.A. Adam and Sari Janusz, Sparky Ginn and Cheryl. Allyn West from Swamplot popped in and wrote about our project. And Ana Mod came by and relishes all our old treasures as much as Bennie!
Clean up seems never ending as it makes it feel that it isn’t quite ours yet with remnants of the past owners filling the rooms still. However, bit by bit we are chipping away and are now able to see the downstairs and will start with the clean up upstairs next week.
What was accomplished these past two weeks:
bar is gone
beer cooler is gone
view from great room on right
old fence down
new fence up
two a/c units gone one inside one on the south wall
all drop ceilings removed from first floor
back of first floor cleaned up
more trash hauled off to the dump
more found objects found and documented
cleared out loft in the front big room of furniture stored there
removed wood paneling from the great room
removed sink and corner shelf
etc. etc…
So much more to do, stay tuned….
